Nashville. Meet Denizen.
Hey, Nashville — welcome to Denizen. We are a city guide with both a print and digital presence that aims to highlight the best that Nashville has to offer, from the best places to play darts in East Nashville to the best spots for tacos in 12 South. Whether you’re a local looking for something new or just a refresher on your old favorites, a new transplant looking to find your niche, or a weekender looking to maximize your time in Nash, we’re here to act as a sort of to-do list for your time here, no matter how long or how short it may be.
We’re new in town, but we’re certainly not newbies; you’ll find us under the names Beaux Arts and Urbanist Guide in Pittsburgh, as well as a soon-to-launch Denizen sister guide in Cincinnati. By hiring locals to hand-pick their favorite spots and zero in on all things up-and-coming, we’re able to provide a road map for dining, drinking, shopping, and even honky tonking. Nashville is a buzzy place, but we aim to pin point the authentic, independent, truly worthwhile spots that locals love.
So, what does Denizen mean for you? Well, if you see us at your favorite coffee shop or boutique, it means that you should pick us up, check out our design-forward map of Nashville’s major neighborhoods and get to work circling each of the spots you want to check out. You might even take us home, post us on your refrigerator or pin us above your desk.
If you’re a business, Denizen means a whole new way to gain exposure without subscribing to some lame pay-to-play model. Because we only include our favorite restaurants and business in our guide (hey, we wouldn’t tell our readers to visit a place that we don’t love!), you can get as involved as you like in terms of advertising. We stock our free guides in the places that we include on our city map, but all of our partners are invited to advertise within the guide itself. We only reserve space for about 1/3 of our chosen partners, but with rates starting at under $75 per month, we truly offer something for any size business.
It’s nice to meet you, Nashville! We can’t wait to help you make the most of your weekends, your down-time, and even those extra-long work lunches on Friday afternoons.
