Neighborhood Series: East Nashville

There’s not much to say about Nashville’s hippest neighborhood that national publications haven’t already said — GQThe New York Times, and Vogue, just to name a few. The coolest part about this part of town isn’t what you can see, however; it’s what you have to hunt for. Make your way down Gallatin or up to Eastland and keep your eyes peeled for the world famous coffee shops tucked between nondescript gas stations, boutiques slinging clothes from up-and-coming indie designers, and maybe even a member of your favorite band having a bowl of ramen or a plate of Nashville hot chicken next to you at one of the area’s many buzz-worthy eateries. If you’re the outdoorsy type, East Nashville also boasts Shelby Bottoms Greenway and Shelby Park, both of which are worth exploring.
