Here's What's Going on in Nashville This February

The weather might still be as unpredictable as ever, but things are heating up in Nashville this February. The end of the winter season marks the beginning of the city's festivals, farmers markets, outdoor concerts and other fun events, and if you're anything like us, you likely can't wait to get out of the house and kick the cabin fever to the curb.

Here are the events we're looking forward to most this February in Nashville.

  • First Aid Kit at the Ryman - February 1
If you're a fan of this Swedish folk duo and their sweet, sweet harmonies, you won't want to miss them when they hit the Mother Church this February. Kick off the month at this can't-miss show, but be sure to get tickets in advance, cause they're likely to sell out.
  • Southern Love Story Package at the Thompson Hotel - all month long
Looking for a special Valentine's Day staycation with your significant other? The Thompson Hotel is offering a pretty sweet deal for the romantics out there — discounted rates on a room for two in their stylish Gulch hotel, plus a package that includes a reservation at the rooftop L.A. Jackson restaurant, complimentary glass of champagne, a bottle of wine hand-chosen by the restaurant's sommelier,  Olive & Sinclair chocolate and an "in-room romance kit" — whatever that might mean.
  • Lightning 100's Chocolate Affair - February 9
Join everyone's favorite local radio station for their Chocolate Affair at Marathon Music Works. This celebration includes samples from Nashville’s best chocolatiers and candy makers, plus quality libations and live jazz music to go with your sweets. Tickets are $35.
  • 4th Annual CSA Fair at the Nashville Farmers Market - February 24
Considering joining a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)? The Nashville Farmers' Market and Local Table Magazine are hosting a free event where you can meet farmers, discuss individual growing methods and learn about harvest schedules and pick-up locations.
  • Preds games - all month long
Hockey season is in full swing, but once February rolls around, it will be over before you know it. Take advantage of the month's home games by grabbing a drink and some dinner before the game at Tavern '96 or the Barrel House, then celebrate the win afterward at Robert's or Acme Feed & Seed.
